Resident of the Month July 2010 |
|
Jason Garrison, M.D., Anesthesiology Resident, has been selected as our resident of the month for July 2010. Nominated by a number of individuals at UK, the following was cited: “Focused on best interest of patients, tries hard to make sure patients are well taken care of, a pleasure to work with.” “Dr. Garrison is an outstanding example to students. He demonstrates compassion to patients and takes extra time to explain and teach to students. He was very encouraging and allowed me to be an active member of the team caring for the patient. He is very knowledgeable and is able to demonstrate his expertise in his daily practice. He was a pleasure to work with and is an asset to UK and the Anesthesiology Department.” “….His performance and overall attitude continues to impress me. Additional to his exceptional work ethic and great anesthesia work, he goes above and beyond to make his patients comfortable and relieves their concerns. With his patience and very approachable attitude, he makes most of the patients smile while taking them to the OR and reduces the preoperative stress without pharmacology.” “Several medical students rotating in anesthesiology have commended his teaching abilities and on numerous occasions have requested to work with him repeatedly for this reason. Jason goes out of his way and even stays on at the end of his day to teach these medical students.” “I have always found him to be very pleasant and quite personable, with good communication skills and rapport with the staff. What impresses me the most is the development of his technical skills and poise under pressure…”
Congratulations, Dr. Garrison! |
